First of all, you can’t count animals from the same litter as twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodbye dogs, cats, tigers, polar bears and foxes! you’re not twins! Second of all, when all of the species looks pretty much the same anyways, who gives a crap? Oh look the twin brown cow looks just like all 100 million other brown cows! Not that it matters, since these are probably not twins ANYWAY and just two animals that look alike. This page is awful. Retarded, really, sub intelligence.

The armadillo has quadruplets…. TRUE quads… They all derive from ONE egg…. every time… every litter!
They will ALL be either male or female…
And the mom can hold her embryos in suspended animation for up to 5 months until the time to let them grow is right…
So, ththththtpppp! to Liz

kabir said,

July 13, 2008 @ 9:52 pm

liz, the caption seems to be ‘just’ a caption to probably say, “hey, these animals look the same, just like human twins look the same”, but i guess you know it all, and you sound so cool and intelligent telling everybody who comes across this page that ‘you’ have the knowledge the rest of us would die for. do guys really date you… i wonder.

vandamonium said,

July 13, 2008 @ 9:53 pm

When you take a mother like an elephant that has two elephant babies, which very, very rarely happen the those two baby elephants are in fact twins. Any species that normally only has one offspring at a time and then they have more than one the respective offspring are twins, triplets etc..

Nice collection!

MeanJean said,

July 13, 2008 @ 9:54 pm

Oh yes, and Liz!… ONe more thing! Elephants have TRUE twins… they rarely do, but it happens… goats have true twins…. horses too, even more rarely.
And just because canids have large litters, and are not true twins, most of the animals represented on this page rarely have more than ONE baby at a time!
So, ttththththtppppp! again.

Hey, Liz, how about you learn to appreciate the photography for it’s artistic tendencies and NOT for the fact that they are called animal twins. They’re lovely photos and cute animals, so be quiet or if you think you can do better, show it.

Liz, I think you missed the point. It’s something beautiful and ADORABLE. Who cares if it isn’t technically an apt title.

It is really sad that you feel the need to criticize something that someone wanted to share. We need a whole lot less of people like you and more people like the person who submitted these. Lighten up!!! Nice pics!!!

I truly apologize for Liz’ behavior. She’s my sister and she lost her pet rabbits, who were twins, last Tuesday. They died of heart failure. She’s still very bitter about it, and seems to be very cynical towards anyone who talks about twins.
Yesterday we were at the grocery store and we walked past the tofu. Turns out their is a type of tofu called Twin Oaks Tofu. Liz nearly got us kicked out of the grocery store for trying to stomp on all of the Twin Oaks Tofu.
When we got home she nearly drank herself to death and screamed that she would never ever have pets again.
Excuse her, please. She’s just going through a rough time.
Cute animals, by the way.

To be able to get animals to take a picture is awesome…the photography is beautiful and a caption can have so many innuendos…some people need to relax and enjoy the view for what it is…

Awesome pics, great scenery..beautiful stills of god’s creatures!!!

Kate said,

July 14, 2008 @ 12:14 am

ok, um, “Liz”, is it? First of all,you cannot possibly know that these “litters” contained more than two dogs, etc. Many times dog litters do only have three or four and only having two is fairly common. Secondly, the “plain brow cows” that “nobody cares about” are quite a miracle if (in the only good point you made)they are indeed twins. As with horses, twin cows are fairly rare, and many times one or both of the foals or calves do not live, and the mother is at a high risk. I suggest that next time you rant on a website or anywhere else available to the public, that you educate yourself properly before making yourself out to be a fool. ‘Tis better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

rutger said,

Just as animals who normally only have one baby sometimes have two or more, like Cows and Horses (twins).

Some animals who have litters, Cats, Dogs, Foxes etc.
Sometimes only have one or two.

I know a woman who breeds malamute dogs and had a pregnant bitch, it was a surprise to all of us when just one pup was born.

Wolfie!

Liz, according to you the cows are look alike and cannot be twins, right! Now, I would like to clarify your doubt in the below link.

Liz baby, I sincerely hope you are able to remove that bug you seem to have lodged so deeply in you, nobody gives a shit whether or not the little critters are technically twins.
I stumbled onto this page after a difficult day and it put a smile on my face, and that feeling that only cute baby animals can bring, and then I get to read your comments, and the only thing that comes to mind is, “is what she has to say about these pictures”
Have a nice day Liz!

Well now!!!
it is a shame the pictures can’t be enjoyed for what they are!! Mt autistic daughter was so excited to find the pictures only to go on and read the “blurbs”…. She asked me why Liz hated the twins so much. what did they do to her?…. anyway

Patti said,

As for the first comment. You can. Dogs, and cats can have twins. Twins are babies from the same placenta and same amniotic sac. If a cat or dog has two or more babies that come from different placentas and different sacs then they are not twins. However twins are from the same placenta and same amniotic sac. Just like in humans. Research it for yourself. Just google twins in dogs and you will see.

The Dentist said,

July 17, 2008 @ 6:53 pm

Liz, you are a jerk. First premise about not regarding animals from the same litter as twins - ummm… why not? Two humans from the same litter = twins, right???? And EVEN if you say fine, two animals from teh same litter are not twins (even though thats kind of the definition) these animals LOOK ALIKE, and are thus TWINS. Let’s hope you are one of a kind, and there isn’t a twin of you, liz. The world is better off with as few Liz’s as possible.

Vanessa said,

July 17, 2008 @ 9:43 pm

but polar bears aren’t born in litters…and neither are tigers. i mean, i know ignorance is bliss and all, but when you’re bashing something it’s good to do a little research first…

Vanessa said,

July 17, 2008 @ 9:45 pm

….And you can have twins from litters. They usually come in the same amniotic sack.
